spice up your basic matcha latte with this delicious, naturally sweet, and fruity matcha recipe. the perfect addition to your spring & summer mornings!
blueberry matcha latte
prep 5 minutes
makes 1
ingredients:
1/2 cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
1/4 cup water
1 tsp matcha powder
1/2 cup milk of choice
1/2 tbsp maple syrup/honey (optional)
directions:
start by making blueberry syrup— place blueberries and water in a small pot or pan and bring to a simmer. once blueberries soften, lightly mash them with a fork. let them simmer for a few minutes until there is enough desired syrup.
add matcha powder to a bowl or cup and pour in hot water. whisk together until no clumps are seen. add sweetener of choice and mix once again.
pour blueberry syrup into cup, then add milk to the cup.
add matcha mixture to the blueberry milk and mix.
top off with ice and enjoy!
